Host General Dentist

The Host General Dentist at Infinity Sedation Dentistry in Sioux Falls, SD, is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional dental care while leading a team to create a tranquil and patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will have over two years of clinical experience, particularly in sedation and restorative dentistry, and will be responsible for mentoring staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and fostering a calming atmosphere for patients, especially those with anxiety or complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality dental care across a range of services, including preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
  • Utilize sedation techniques to provide a comfortable experience for anxious patients.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' oral health and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients to empower them in their care decisions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in treating medically compromised patients and collaborate with healthcare providers as needed.
  • Provide exceptional follow-up care, including personal check-ins with patients post-treatment.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and mentor team members in best practices for patient care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and sedation techniques for continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the Clinical Governance Review Committee to shape the practice's standard of care.

Requirements

  • General dentistry experience with a valid Dental License.
  • BLS Certification and ACLS Certification. (Can acquire).
  • At least two years of clinical practice in general dentistry, with a focus on sedation techniques and restorative dentistry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to alleviate patient anxieties and build trust.
  • Proficiency in managing a wide range of dental procedures, including complex restorative cases.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to handle a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a multi-specialty practice setting.
  • Knowledge of patient psychology related to dental anxiety.
  • Ability to create a welcoming environment in the operatory.
